Why is there a service fee?

Our payment partner Point&Pay charges a service fee for processing the payment transaction. This fee is not charged by Arapahoe County, nor does Arapahoe County retain any portion of the fee.

The service fee is assessed to cover operating costs associated with servicing your credit card transaction, debit card transaction, or electronic check payment. When you use this service, two line items will appear on your receipt. One is for the record requested paid to Arapahoe County, and the other is for the service fee charged by Point&Pay. You will be informed of all charges and fees before you authorize your payment.
