It’s been one month since Arapahoe County opened the doors to its new health department. Arapahoe County Public Health started serving residents and businesses on Jan. 1, 2023. Four office locations are spread out across the county to provide quality public health services for our community.
The health department’s administrative headquarters are located at 6162 S. Willow Dr. in Greenwood Village. There you can request birth and death certificates in-person, by appointment. The Willow office also houses environmental health services, which include inspections and licenses for restaurants, childcare centers, and body art facilities in Arapahoe County.
Nutritional services like breastfeeding support and healthy food for Women, Infants and Children (WIC) are available at the other three office locations:
- Altura Plaza, 15400 East 14th Pl.
- Aurora South, 15192 East Hampden Ave.
- Englewood, 4857 South Broadway Rd.
At the Englewood and Altura offices you can also receive birth control and sexual health services, like HIV and sexual transmitted infections (STIs) clinics. The two locations also offer immunizations, including those for COVID-19.
The Altura office offers services for people who use drugs, like sterile syringes, naloxone, and fentanyl test strips at no cost.
If you have questions about other programs and services or would like to schedule an appointment, call 303-795-HLTH (4584) or visit arapahoegov.com/health.
