On Monday, October 27, 2014, at approximately 8:44 p.m., Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the Wal-Mart parking lot located at 1412 South Parker Road on a report of shots fired and a subject lying face down in the parking lot. When deputies arrived, they located a 61-year-old male victim in the parking lot suffering from what appeared to be several gunshot wounds. The victim was immediately transported to Aurora South Hospital and Medical Center by Cunningham Fire Protection District, where he was pronounced deceased.

Deputies responded to the scene where they contacted and detained a subject identified as:

Daniel Fougner
Age 54
Transient

Based upon further investigation, Mr. Fougner was taken into custody and booked into the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office Detention Facility for:

CRS 18-3-101 Murder in the First Degree, a class 1 felony - NO BOND
