Donate to help those displaced by the Club Valencia Fire
When a fire broke out at the Club Valencia condominiums, Arapahoe County rushed to provide emergency services to the more than 85 households displaced by the fire. Several departments are working together to determine how to assist homeowners, both in the short- and long-term.
“We’re sad for those who are displaced and we’re grateful there were no serious injuries,” said Commissioner Nancy Jackson. “Our priority is getting residents connected to help at every step along the way to recovery.”
We’ve received many calls from generous neighbors wanting to know how they can assist fire victims. The Arapahoe County Foundation (a 501C(3) nonprofit) has set up a Fire Fund to help residents of Club Valencia. Donate online or by check.
“We can always count on our Arapahoe County residents to jump in and help those in need,” said Jackson. “Counties provide a safety net for residents in situations like this and our neighbors are right there with us, providing assistance in every way possible.”
County officials are now determining what other services and resources may be available to help families longer term, including housing navigation services, funding assistance, and animal placements.
