When you serve as a volunteer on one of our many citizen advisory bodies, you’ll provide input into the County’s decision-making process in a wide variety of areas while the County benefits from your knowledge, experience, and expertise.

All applicants must be either a resident or business owner of real property in Arapahoe County. Applications are accepted throughout the year as vacancies arise, and these positions often have additional specific eligibility requirements. Current Openings:

One vacancy for the Centennial Airport/Community Noise Roundtable. This group works with the airport to find ways to reduce and mitigate the impact of aircraft noise on surrounding communities. The Roundtable is comprised of local elected officials, appointed representatives from the community, airport staff, the FAA, CDOT (Aeronautics Division), and airport users.

One vacancy for the Open Space and Trails Advisory Board (OSTAB). Applicants must reside in District 3. OSTAB plans and develops an approach for the preservation of open space in Arapahoe County. Members make recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners regarding the distribution of revenue collected from the Open Space Sales and Use Tax.
