County will host 32 polling centers for Nov. 8 General Election
Pursuant to state law [C.R.S. 1-5-102.9(1)(c)(II)], the Arapahoe County Elections Division is seeking public input on possible locations for new voter service and polling centers (VSPCs) for the Nov. 8 General Election. The comment period will remain open from Thursday, March 3 to Monday, May 2.
Under the Colorado Votes Act, counties must add new VSPCs in proportion to the number of active voters. Arapahoe County will manage 32 VSPCs in the 2022 General Election, opening in three phases beginning October 24. In comparison, the County operated 29 VSPCs during the 2020 General Election.
Though data show that over 90% of Arapahoe County voters prefer voting their mail ballot to voting in person, VSPCs provide a valuable option for voters to get replacement ballots, register to vote or update their registration, vote in person, and vote with accessible ballot marking devices.
