A heartwarming turnout of families and individuals Saturday, Dec. 4 at Elevate Hope Church in Centennial brought smiles to hundreds of families, children and adults who participated in the annual holiday gift giving program.
Partnering for the Holidays is a charitable program that supports families and adults who are involved with Human Services. The program benefits those who may otherwise go without during the holiday season, including children and adults in crisis, victims of abuse or neglect, or those experiencing financial hardship.
Holiday gifts and monetary funds are received through donations and families get to come in and ‘shop’ for their children and loved ones.
“It’s wonderful to see families pick toys and winter essentials that they know their loved ones would like, and that is important in empowering our clients and supporting their roles as caregivers and parents during the holidays,” said Kala Slater, volunteer and community outreach supervisor. “This year we have much to be thankful for as Elevate Hope Church offered to host the in-person event, something we couldn’t do last year due to the pandemic.”
The program receives donations of toys and supplies year-round for this event. Contact us by email if you’d like to get involved or offer support for next year.
