PIC_CP_Iliff_Cooridoor_2021

Travel Impacts for the Week of Oct. 18

Beginning Oct. 18, crews will begin paving temporary detour pavement in preparation to shift traffic and open work areas for new roadway construction. Paving and barrier removal operations will require single lane daytime closures on Parker Road at Iliff Avenue. Crews will also continue to perform existing roadway, median and sidewalk removals, between Yosemite Street and Wabash Street. To safely remove the existing median to open the roadway for future widening, crews will conduct daytime single lane closures.

As part of the liff Avenue corridor improvements, crews will demolish two dilapidated buildings at the northwest corner of Parker Road and Iliff Avenue later this month. Demolition activities will not impact surrounding businesses.

  • 8:30 a.m. through 3:30 p.m., Monday, Oct. 18, through Wednesday, Oct. 20:
    • Daytime intermittent single lane closures on westbound Iliff Avenue from Parker Road (CO 83) to Wabash Street
    • Daytime intermittent single lane closures on eastbound Iliff Avenue from Wabash Street to Parker Road (CO 83)
  • 8:30 a.m. through 3:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 21, through Saturday, Oct. 23:
    • Daytime right lane closures on southbound Parker Road (CO 83) at Iliff Avenue, in northwest corner of the intersection.

All work is weather-dependent and subject to change.

Third party utility work is also being completed in the area, unaffiliated with this project, requiring various lane closures.

During construction, travelers can expect daytime and nighttime traffic impacts. Intermittent daytime and nighttime lane closures should be expected. Minor impacts to bicycle and pedestrian access will be required. Access to transit stops will be maintained throughout construction.
