The Arapahoe County Board of Commissioners has decided to reopen the application process for the County’s Five-Star Partner Program after a brief hiatus. The Board suspended new applications as the County was moving from Level Yellow to Level Blue on the state’s dial dashboard in the past week. Although Level Blue is the second-least restrictive category on the dial, with Five-Star certification providing minimal additional allowances to businesses, the certification still acts as official confirmation that a business is doing everything it can to protect its employees and customers from COVID. And should the County or the state experience a surge of COVID rates in the future, the certification will allow all approved businesses to operate with restrictions one level lower than the County’s position on the dial.
