Do you know an exceptional Arapahoe County high school senior who’s gone above and beyond to achieve exceptional accomplishments? If so, you can nominate them for an Arapahoe County Mayors and Commissioners Youth Award (ACMCYA).
This program recognizes teenagers who have overcome obstacles and risen to the many challenges life has presented. The award is available to youth who live and attend school in Arapahoe County, whether in traditional classroom settings, group homes, or alternative schools, and emancipated teens are also eligible.
Scholarships are awarded to graduating seniors who wish to pursue post-secondary educational opportunities at vocational, two- or four-year schools, and the awards must be used within the 2021-22 academic year. Relatives of Arapahoe County employees are not eligible.
The application deadline has been extended to Friday, March 12 at 5 p.m. For more information or to nominate a student, visit www.arapahoegov.com/YouthAwards.
