Due to COVID-19 we are no longer taking walk-ins for concealed handgun permits .
As of November 9th, the Sheriff's Office is no longer processing walk-in applications, but will continue to process permits by appointment. We will continue to process renewals and temporary emergency permits pursuant to CRS 18-12-209.
The process of allowing 20 walk-in customers per day for Concealed Handgun Permits (CHP) has been temporarily suspended due to the COVID-19 spread and the current public health orders, however, the Sheriff's Office will continue to process CHP by appointment. Appointments are being accepted by calling 720-874-3919. We will make notifications when we are able to resume the walk-in process.
The renewal application process will be accomplished by submitting your completed application, copy of your Colorado Driver’s License or Colorado I.D. and a copy of your permit to CHP@Arapahoegov.com. Credit card payment will have to be made by phone once it is determined that your application is complete.
