Support Services Bureau

The Support Services Bureau provides support functions for all areas of the Sheriff's Office. The bureau is staffed by both civilian and commissioned personnel.

The Support Services Bureau performs the following essential responsibilities:
  • Recruiting and hiring all Sheriff's Office personnel
  • Developing and overseeing the Sheriff's Office budget
  • Providing dispatch services for law enforcement, fire, and medical services
  • Provides leadership, planning, education, and resources in the event of a disaster
  • Provides quality training to Sheriff's Office personnel
  • Serving as the central repository for Sheriff's Office records
  • Serving and executing all civil processes, writs, precepts and orders
  • Operating and maintaining the radio systems in Arapahoe County
  • Handling complaints and commendations of Sheriff's Office personnel
  • Issuing concealed handgun permits in Arapahoe County
  • Maintaining Sheriff's Office accreditations
