Generational Opportunities to Achieve Long-term Success (GOALS)
The Arapahoe County Department of Human Services, in partnership with Family Tree and other key partners, is designing an innovative program that provides bridge housing and wrap-around supportive services to better the outcomes for both parents and children. GOALS is not a homeless shelter or a rehab facility, but a structured residential program. Learn more about the GOALs program.

Annual Human Services Resource Fair
The Resource Fair provides an opportunity to have all area Human Services agencies and related groups under one roof to connect, network and teach one another about the resources available for individuals and families in Arapahoe County and nearby. Learn more about the Human Services Resource Fair.

Domestic Violence Awareness
Acts of violence within intimate relationships can have serious consequences to the victims and families involved. Domestic violence includes physical, sexual, emotional and psychological abuse. Arapahoe County wants to end domestic violence and provide helpful resources for the victims and those who may need to support someone near and dear to them. Suicide Prevention Awareness
Arapahoe County recognizes suicide is a serious public health issue that can have lasting harmful effects on you, your family, friends, co-workers and the community. The causes are complex but our goal of suicide prevention is simple. We want to help individuals realize that suicide is not the answer and that help is out there. Charitable Programs
Partnering for the Holidays
Partnering for the Holidays provides holiday gifts for Arapahoe County residents who are involved as clients with Arapahoe County Human Services. The program benefits those who may otherwise go without during the holiday season, including children and adults in crisis, victims of abuse or neglect, or those experiencing financial hardship.
Helping Other People Excel
Helping Other People Excel (HOPE) is a non-profit program created by employees of the Arapahoe County Department of Human Services that seeks to fill the needs of local individuals and families that can't be met by formal welfare programs.
Training for Mandatory Reporters
Human Services offers free training upon request to groups of professionals working in Arapahoe County who are statutorily required under the Colorado Children’s Code to report known or suspected child abuse or neglect. Our trainers bring the presentation to groups of 10 or more.
The training for mandated reporters covers:
- How to identify physical and behavioral signs of child abuse and neglect
- How to report suspected abuse and neglect to the child welfare system
- What happens after you make a referral to Arapahoe County
- Information about reporting abuse, neglect, self-neglect and financial exploitation of seniors/at-risk adults.
