Commissioner Nancy Sharpe

Serving District 2

Nancy N. Sharpe is serving her third term as commissioner representing District 2, which includes Centennial, Greenwood Village, a portion of Aurora and unincorporated central Arapahoe County. She initially sworn in January 2011, and her term expires January 2023. She served as Board Chair in 2020, 2017, 2015 and 2013, and as Finance Officer in 2016 and 2013.

As commissioner, Nancy oversees the Community Resources and Human Services Departments. Additionally, she serves on the internal Executive Budget Committee.

Goals

As a 38-year resident of Arapahoe County, Nancy is committed to enhancing the quality of life for residents. She works to budget responsibly and keep taxes low so that Arapahoe County will live within its means and thrive. She is known as a strong, fiscally responsible leader who fosters highly effective working relationships with cities, counties, public entities and businesses.

Background

In 2016, Colorado Counties Inc. honored Nancy with the organization’s Commissioner of the Year Award for going above and beyond the call of duty to work for the good of all counties.
