Residential Permit Application Submittal Requirements
- Read and comply with the Permit Guide
- Attach to application:
- Site Plan
- Construction documents
- Read, complete page 3, and attach the building guide
- Optional attachments and requirements:
- Provide a clear description of the work, including any electrical devices to be installed
- A Colorado licensed engineer’s stamp may be required on the plans in specific cases (please refer to the permit guide for details)
- All components detailed in the construction documents must be inspected prior to concealment
- Decks permitted through this office are reviewed for minimum 2021 International Residential Code (IRC) design criteria and are not reviewed for any additional imposed loads (e.g., planters, hot tubs/spa, roof covers, etc.). In case there are imposed loads, apply for a specific permit (e.g., for hot tubs/spa, roof covers)
- Attachments must comply with these requirements
- Complete your application using Customer Access
- Select the Residential Remodel Renovation > Residential Deck Permit or Search by ‘deck’
- Pay for your permit online
- Estimate your fees
- Review the Fee Schedule
- A plans reviewer will check your application, plans, and attachments for completeness and accuracy before your permit is issued
- You may be contacted with questions or requests for revisions through the Customer Access Portal
