Taxpayer filing requirements for certaintaxable property extended to June 15, 2020. Property types include:
Business personal property
Natural resource property (mining)
Oil and gas property
Renewable Energy Property
This extension does not affect payment dates, or forgive the necessity to ultimately file, but relieves an administrative burden on certain businesses and owners of taxable property to file by April 15.
Personal property is defined by the State of Colorado as equipment, machinery, furniture, security devices, household furnishings and signs which are used for the production of income or in the operation of a business. All personal property is taxable in Colorado unless exempted by statute.
