In 2010, Arapahoe County contributed $250,000 to the City of Centennial for the development of Centennial Center Park, a giant 11-acre park with recreational amenities including a playground, water play, climbing walls, picnic pavilions, restrooms and much more. The park is located at 13050 East Peakview Ave. in Centennial. In 2012, Arapahoe County contributed an additional $100,000 to the City of Centennial for the development of the Centennial Park Meadow Improvements. That project included building trails, a demonstration garden, landscaping and a picnic pavilion in the 3.5 acre open space next to Centennial Center Park.
Arapahoe County contributed $250,000 to South Suburban Park and Recreation District for the renovation of Hunters Hill Park. In 2016, the South Suburban Park and Recreation District unveiled two new age-appropriate play structures, new playground surfacing, park benches, a drinking fountain, shade trees and more. Hunters Hill Park is located at 7275 S. Xanthia St. in Centennial. This newly-renovated playground provides the Centennial community with wonderful new play features for kids of all ages.
Arapahoe County contributed $250,000 to the South Suburban Park and Recreation District for the Willow Park Improvement Project in Centennial. These funds were used to build a new playground, bridge, concrete trail, landscaping and much more. Willow Creek park is located at 8000 E. Phillips Cir. in Centennial. The project was completed in 2015 and is beloved by the Centennial community.
