About Us

Welcome to Arapahoe County Open Spaces. The program began in 2003 when citizens of Arapahoe County voted to fund the program through a quarter-of-a-penny Open Space sales and use tax (25 cents on every $100 spent). The tax was renewed in 2011 when voters approved to extend the tax to 2023, and permanently reauthorized in 2021.

Our vision is healthy lands, healthy communities, healthy people.

Our mission is to protect Arapahoe County’s treasured parks, trails and open space for residents to enjoy today and forever.
