Arapahoe County Commissioner Bill Holen to head up E-470 committees

LITTLETON, CO – Arapahoe County Commissioner Bill Holen was recently selected to chair two committees on the E-470 Public Highway Authority board of directors. Holen will head up the Finance and Budget Committee and Audit Committee.

Commissioner Holen, the Arapahoe County representative on the E-470 Public Highway Authority board of directors, has served on these committees for five consecutive years. These committees are tasked with detailed reviews of finance, budget and audit related items that are presented to the full E-470 board of directors for review and action. They also serve to help set strategic direction for these areas of the Authority’s overall operations.

“We are appreciative of Commissioner Holen’s willingness to chair these important committees,” said Tim Stewart, Executive Director of the Authority. “The Commissioner’s experience and knowledge of the Authority will play an important role as we review the finance, budget and audit activities of the Authority to ensure transparency and fiscal responsibility in all we do.”

Commissioner Holen assumes these duties immediately and will continue in this role throughout 2017.

Holen represents District 5, which includes the City of Glendale and portions of the City of Aurora. He is serving his second term as Commissioner and oversees the Community Resources and Facilities and Fleet Management departments. He also serves on the County’s Capital Improvements Project Team.
